SNAME, 2009 (Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers) (Providence, RI)
The only professional meeting that includes all of the diverse technical interests and professional specialties in naval architecture, marine engineering and marine sciences. Both Ted and Lincoln are members and are tentatively invited to present a paper on a survey on the of emissions control technology for marine applications for use aboard ships. The title of the paper is called Survey of Emissions Control Systems. Look for it.

Fleet Maintenance and Modernization Symposium, 2009 (San Diego, CA)
Specifically designed to provide useful information opportunities for those who are involved in maintenance, refit, repair, conversion, modernization, service and support of naval ships and craft. (FMMS 2009) will address the challenges of "Maintenance & Modernization Practices and Processes for the 21st Century Fleet." FMMS 2009 will include prominent guest speakers, panelists and technical paper presentations from the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and industry. The symposium provides a unique opportunity to interact with senior military decision makers, ship and craft operators and maintainers, repair and maintenance personnel, designers and builders, equipment suppliers, and other technical experts.

Audi Conference (Bavaria)
The two-day meeting is meant to jump-start climate talks before an international meeting in Copenhagen in December to find a follow-up agreement to the Kyoto Protocol, which limits climate-warming greenhouse emissions and expires in 2012.
